Whether you are new to open water swimming, a casual swimmer or a pro, Spring Lakes is the perfect place for you.

Come down and take a dip in our beautifully clear, spring fed water. Swim into lake 2 during the warmer months and float away from everyday stress. Socialise with our swimming family and make some new friends for life whilst enjoying a hot drink and a slice of cake in our Waters Edge cafe.

We aim to offer open water swimming all year round at more flexible times for all swimmers. A lifeguard will always be on hand whilst you swim.

Requirements:

  • A waiver must be completed prior to your first swim.
  • Please inform a member of staff if you have any health issues mentioned on the waiver.
  • All swimmers must wear a brightly coloured swim hat and a tow buoy during their swim.
  • To check in and out at reception to let us know you are safe.
  • If you are planning to swim for longer than an hour, please inform at time of checking in.

Additional Details:

  • Wetsuits are available to hire at £4 but are not mandatory (we have plenty of swimmers swimming in their “skins”)
  • Lake 2 is open during warmer months.
  • Lockers are available, please bring your own padlock or purchase one from reception for £3.
  • We have changing rooms, toilets and showers onsite
  • We sell tow buoys at £16 or hire them at £2 and swim hats can be purchased for £10.
  • Heaters are available in the cafe during colder months.

Bring Your Dog

Swimmers may swim with their dogs. Dogs are charged at £2.50 and must have a lifejacket. We do not provide these.
